She then completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and her M.A. in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA). While at Fuller, she was recognized for her leadership in the integration of theology and psychology and received specialized training in the areas of depression, women's development, church consultation, the personal development of pastors, and missions mental health. In her therapy practice, Dr. English utilizes a gentle and down-to-earth style while working primarily with women and adolescent girls in their journeys through such experiences as crisis, trauma recovery, personal empowerment, and grief work. Her desire is that the freeing gospel of Jesus Christ would be the guiding force in her work and that she would be used by God as an instrument of peace in the lives of those who are wounded. Dr. English and her husband have two sons and are actively involved in the music ministry at their church.
