Child and Family Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Jeremy Johnson is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in family, child, and adolescent practice. His two primary categories of service are psychological evaluations and therapy. The psychological evaluations are for children and adolescents ages 4-22 that need a thorough mental health evaluation. Psychological evaluations often include clinical interviews with the child or adolescent and their caregivers, administration of intelligence and achievement measures, administration of various other measures, scoring, interpretation, write-up, and a feedback session. Adult ADHD and child custody evaluations are also available and are processed in a similar manner. Dr. Johnson primarily conducts family therapy, but may also perform work with children, adolescents, couples, and groups. His therapy background covers a broad spectrum of mental illness with special interests in trauma and maltreatment, family conflict and cut-off, conduct and behavioral disorders, and ADHD. Family systems specialties include marriage, divorce, stepfamilies, child behavioral, trauma-specific, and somatic issues. Treatment is often provided in the context of family change and growth, with specific interventions that involve Cognitive-Behavioral, Behavioral, Strategic and Structural techniques. Dr. Johnson has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). He completed his internship training at Children’s Institute, Inc., a large community mental health facility in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Johnson and his wife have 2 sons and are members of a local church where Dr. Johnson is involved with the youth group.
